Hey, call me anything you want as long as you follow it up with a little shimmy shake I think most people know me by my confident demeanor and strikingly good looks...but that's not really who I am. I'm really quite shy and insec...HAHAHA ok no, I can't keep a straight face, that's exactly who I am. I can't help it - I was raised by a vivacious and successful mother and a hardworking and driven father, not to mention being the middle child amongst four bubbly sisters. They're good people, and the rocks that keep me grounded. They're always ready to tell me when I'm being a prat! I suppose having such a strong foundation as a child has turned me into the kind of person who was able to forge some really strong friendships in my later life. Friendships that also led to my current occupation...well, if you can call it that! [Jules Yun], and I like to think of ourselves as great thinkers. And great thinkers need great funding if they're going to turn their ideas into tangible contraptions! Wondrous contraptions, in fact. We spend most days together working on our ideas - Jules having a bit of his father's inventor knowledge in him, and me having a certain crazy aptitude for physics. (And to think I only started studying it because I had believed it meant I was going to be working on my abs!) [Victoria Ventura] has been a little gem for us too, with her mechanical knowledge and her handy biplane! Fetching all manner of hard to get implements for us, not to mention sorting out Jules and my differences when we disagreed! [Adriette Lockwell] was primarily Vic's friend at first - Vic being the only girl in Adri's life that she'd managed to stay friends with; but her intricate jewelry business endeared her to us - I personally can always respect an independent businesswoman and over the years Adri has proven useful to us on more than one occasion! Jules. Oh Jules, my dearest and oldest friend. We've been through some rough times, but that's how you really tell who your friends are, right? I've been a royal idiot to him before, but that was before I knew about his feelings. I never would have gone near the poodle if Jules had told me about them - but I suppose I should have seen for myself! Ah, but hindsight is 20/20, right? Either way, we seem to be back on good footing again, and I would do anything for that guy. Vic has kind of become a little sister type friend. You know the kind - steal their food, ruffle their hair, borrow their hair straighteners? (She complains, but hey, she's got a hat on most of the time and hair as good as mine just deserves her good straighteners!) She's wicked useful to have around too; always flying off and collecting awesome things that are bound to be of some use. I like to call her my little Magpie because of that! Vic is also the only sane one I can talk to about Jules, thank goodness. I mean, he's my best friend; but he has the kind of emotional issues only a sturdy mechanic can work with sometimes! Ahh, the Poodle. Adri and me, we've got a bit of history, and it ain't all good! Had a bit of a run in with each other a few years back that nearly blew apart our little quartet. I tell ya, drink is not always a good thing! Although personally I think two people of our libidos needed to get it out of the way. And thankfully after a lot of screaming (and not the good kind) we all got it sorted out, and now Adri and me are practically partners in crime. When Jules' isn't around, anyway. He still does get a bit jealous. |
